Sunset no.7 is a tranquil piece, painted from a photo taken in Anglesey in North Wales many years ago - it was one of those very still summer evenings where time seems to stand still, and the glowing sun takes forever to drop down behind the horizon. The flat calm tidal waters reflect the warm pastel tones in the clouds above.
Painted with layers of richly textured oil paint, the compact square format makes it equally suited to displaying alone or alongside other works from the collection.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting created in professional-grade oils on a 10" x 10" gallery-wrapped, solid wood frame canvas with a depth of 1.5".
